ARISE: A Rebrand that Led to Massive Results
In 2024, Summit Advocates partnered with Effct to rebrand and raise awareness across Summit County. Though the organization provided essential services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault—including the region’s only emergency shelter, legal advocacy, and trauma-informed care—it remained largely under the radar.
With limited visibility, outreach efforts leaned heavily on word of mouth, churches, and hospitals and staff voiced the need for a brand that felt more empowering, relatable, and reflective of what they offer survivors.
The goal was clear: build a brand that could educate, engage, and empower.
The Rebrand
Effct kicked things off with deep listening—facilitating focus groups and interviews with staff, clients, and local partners. We heard it loud and clear: people didn’t fully understand what Summit Advocates did or how to access its services.
So, we got to work. Through bilingual surveys and collaborative workshops, we tested names, visuals, and messages until we landed on the perfect fit: ARISE—a name that’s powerful, bilingual, and rooted in the organization's mission: Advocacy, Resiliency, Intervention, Safe House, and Education.
Apoyo, Refugio, Intervención, Seguridad, Educación.
We didn’t just stop at a name. We co-created brand guidelines, tone of voice, visuals, and messaging—infusing every element with the energy and vision of ARISE’s team.

Colors
To align with nationwide ribbon recognition colors for sexual assault and domestic violence awareness, we developed a color palette of blues, purples. We then wanted to amplify the empowerment ARISE instills in its clients through bright oranges, yellows, and an orange-yellow ombre representing the upward, positive movement that ARISE instills.
Logos
The ARISE logo reflects its five core pillars—Advocacy, Resiliency, Intervention, Safehouse, and Education. The purple mountain line, based on the Ten Mile Range, rises against a sun, symbolizing growth and empowerment.

Website
We reimagined the website from the ground up, migrating from WordPress to Wix to make it leaner, faster, and more accessible. With fewer pages, simplified content, and more entry points to the crisis line, it became a cornerstone for ARISE’s work.
Beyond the redesign, we used tools to streamline outreach — connecting website forms directly to ARISE’s donation platform and client relationship management system. This ensures all submissions, from newsletter signups to donor info, are automatically captured in one centralized system.
Videography
In November 2024, Effct produced bilingual video content featuring the ARISE team and client testimonials, highlighting the organization’s services.
Using the footage, the Effct team created videos to showcase ARISE’s services, highlight the organization – all in English and Spanish– and promote volunteering, and share two client stories. Cut in both vertical and horizontal formats, the videos were optimized for mobile and desktop—ready to meet audiences wherever they were.

Digital Marketing Campaign
We then ran targeted advertisements on Facebook, Instagram, Google, TikTok, and through the Summit Daily newsletter—delivering bilingual, short-form video content that introduced the new ARISE brand and its services. These videos highlighted staff, volunteers, client testimonials, and calls to action, all designed to foster trust and connection within the community.
By pairing powerful creativity with high-visibility placements, the campaign reinforced ARISE’s identity and helped make its life-saving services more accessible and recognizable throughout the region.
